Our Prep Department

We try to develop each child’s natural talents to the full in an atmosphere of happy and understanding encouragement.

We set an ideal of excellence as our goal in everything we do, and each child is encouraged to undertake every task to the best of his or her ability.

The curriculum is based not only on preparing children for Common Entrance or Scholarships to Senior Independent Schools at the age of 13+, but also on equipping them with the skills and knowledge which will stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives.

Consequently the curriculum is deliberately broad. Traditional subjects have a central place, but sit happily alongside subjects which anticipate children’s future needs.
