Art makes a fundamental contribution to the curriculum. It is a unique form of expression, building powers of analysis, observation, articulation, imagination and the ability to formulate ideas. Art and Design provides students with a creative outlet and a visual and tactile understanding of the world and issues around them.
Aims and Objectives
The aims of the Art curriculum at Copthorne are to help pupils to: Become visually literate and able to use their artwork as a form of communication. Develop creative and technical skills to a high level.

FÊTE PROGRAMME COMPETITION
Entries must be in by Monday please and the competition is open to all children. Designs for the Fête programme are to be sized A5 on white paper, bright and colourful designs with the theme of the Wild West! Winners will receive 2 tickets for use at the Fête stalls.
