Could you please check with your children this weekend for any overdue library books they might have in their possession. All library books are easily recognizable with a Copthorne School stamp on the inside cover and they have a due date printed on the first page as well. You can return them to the form teacher or directly to the library. Thank you.

Our Pre-Prep Library is now up and running. All the classes have a ½ hour session every week, during which time they are read a story and then have a chance to browse through the books, choosing one to keep for the following week. This week our stories were ‘Pants’ and ‘More Pants’, which were much enjoyed! The week started differently for the Reception classes. Instead of writing our news, we were able to visit the super new library in Crawley. The ride in the minibuses was eagerly anticipated and the journey was spent with cries of “That’s where I live”! On arrival, the children’s librarian explained how the library could be used and all the different types of books they could read. Congratulations to the children from Year 6 who have been appointed librarians this term. They are replacing the Year 8 students who are stepping down due to their exam commitments. We would like to thank them for their hard work and wish them well in their exams. Ashley and Charlotte are staying on to make sure there is a smooth change over.
