CBBC Tour

Year 3 and 4 had a fabulous day out at the Televsion Centre in Shepherds Bush. An early start ensured we were all in town with plenty of time to spare. After we were all security checked the children saw the Prank Patrol Van parked outside the studios and the excitment began! Dr. Who’s tardis was there and we all enjoyed posing for photos by the huge BBC sign. We visited studios, dressing rooms, the weather centre, the Blue Peter garden, saw filming, met celebrities, had a chance to be sound men, vision mixers and presenters, dressed up as mini Dick read the full post »

Wakehurst Place – Year 5 Trip

Last Tuesday the whole of year 5 went to extend their work on plants in the beautiful setting of Wakehurst Place. The children were well behaved and the trip was a great success as you can tell from the following account.. It was really cool in the lab and we went pond dipping where we found water boatmen and snails. We also had an activity which said that if there were no plants nothing would be able to survive. It was fantastic and I want to go again! Jack F

Joseph

We had a very successful outing to the Hawth and the children all seemed to enjoy the colourful and fast-moving production. We also had lots of wonderful comments about how smart the children all looked in their blazers and how well they behaved -it was a pleasure to escort them!

Year 2 trip to Blackland Farm Activity Centre

A very successful new trip as you can read below: On Monday, my class went to Blacklands Farm. We went rock climbing, crate challenge, ropes and the boulder wall, and abseiling. On the boulder wall we did lots of tricks. On the rock climbing, I got to the very top. The crate challenge is when some people put block on top of block and two people climb on the blocks. On the ropes challenge we had to work as a team all the time. When we did abseiling, you have to go to the very top of a wall and read the full post »

Preston Manor by Victoria Smith 3B

On Tuesday Year 3 went to Preston Manor. My favourite was part when I made orange juice. I had a great time. The butler was called Mr Elphick and you could call him sir. He was very strict. It was funny when Jack M. dropped the egg on the floor and when the lemonade over-flowed. We all laughed and sir wondered what we were laughing at. I had a great time and we made ginger biscuits and got to bring them back to school. I also was a cleaner and I had to dust the walls. The servants only got read the full post »
