Josh Higgs plays for England!

Having qualified for the U11 England chess squad in April, Josh travelled last weekend to Monmouth in Wales to play in a U12 England v Wales chess match.  Playing chess when very excited and very nervous at the same time is tough but Josh managed it!  He was part of a team of 11 and each player had 2 games each to play.

Josh was board 4/12 and won his first game but lost his second. However England won the match 16.5 points to 7.5 and England also won the unofficial football match 3-0!  Josh is pictured with his international certificate.
