Mind-boggling maths!

On Tuesday 13th March Alys, Robbie, William and Liliana  headed off in Mrs Preen’s car to Wellington College for a Year 5 Maths Challenge. They were greeted by the sight of over 150 other mathematicians from 36 Prep schools in the South East! They were challenged, in pairs, to solve seven different...

Year 6 ‘Directed Numbers Game’

Mrs Lee’s set have been looking at directed numbers. They have been inventing their own maths games using directed numbers. Some fantastic designs were seen with some truly creative ideas. Mrs Lee was extremely impressed with the standard of the games and everyone enjoyed playing them.  

Creative Maths

3KW have been looking at different 3D shapes in Maths this week. They have been learning about nets. The children borrowed the polydron from the preprep to create their nets. Which ones could be built into a pyramid? Another group looked at how they could make cubes from a variety of different nets....
