Spanish Aims and Objectives

Our aims and objectives in teaching Spanish are firstly to promote confidence,
enjoyment and proficiency in the four basic skills within the Spanish language-
reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Secondly, to provide an insight into the culture and customs of countries where
Spanish is the official language.
Thirdly, to extend each pupil to his/her full potential in the language and to engender in him/her a desire to continue with further language learning.
Finally our aim is to develop an awareness of the structure of the language and of language learning, thus providing a satisfactory linguistic base for the possible study of a foreign language beyond the age of 13.
