Mother’s Day Services – change of plan!

A Big Write

A visit to the Hindu Temple

The Hindu Temple at the Apple Tree Centre in Ifield proved to be a fascinating and informative morning for all Year 1 & 2.  We had a close look at a small number of the 33 million Gods, and learned about how Ganesh got an elephant’s head.  We can now all do some Bolly wood moves and clap dancing...

Dragon Dance

Reception children entertained the Yr1, Y2 and Y3 children with a colourful ‘Dragon Dance’ as part of the Chinese New Year celebrations. We made masks, medals, lanterns and practised our chopstick skills at lunchtime and in the classroom too!

Chinese New Year

What a wonderful Chinese New Year we all enjoyed:   food tasting, cooking, singing, lantern making, writing and painting Chinese characters and dragons AND we raised our yearly sponsorship for Hongli-Ye.
