There are many definitions of Outdoor Education, but simply put it is where the process of learning takes place primarily yet not exclusively in the outdoors. It allows for experimental learning and gives the participants a fantastic opportunity to grow in self-confidence, stay fit and exercise and learn life skills that you do not always learn in the class room. From lighting a campfire to climbing, from pool kayaking to canoeing on a river, participants will have the chance to learn a great deal. Outdoor education provides a fantastic setting in which participants can develop their self-confidence, confront and control their fears, develop their self-discipline, but most importantly have fun and create memories that will last a life time.
To offer an opportunity for pupils to try and develop their skills in outdoor activities.
