The girls did a great job out on the rounders field at Cumnor. They coped well under the wet, rainy conditions and ran sensibility around the posts. Under 9As lose by a run in nail-biter against Cumnor

We lost the toss and were put in to bat. Copthorne scored 211, with no single batsman really making a big score though Zac (8), Charlie (7) and Freddie (6) were our top three run-scorers.  Luke and Bradley also contributed nicely with 5 runs each. In reply, Cumnor made 212, beating us by a single run. ... 

NEW SCHOOL 100m RECORD

Congratulations to Josh Persad, who broke the 34 year old 100m record last week at the Cumnor House Pentathlon Meeting. He ran (on grass) in a new record time of 11:98, breaking the old time of 12:10 set in 1979 by B. Oyewebi. He also broke the 10 year old 75m Hurdle record by 1½ seconds! Well done...
