2nd IX Rounders v Hurst

First game back, since half-term the girls 2nd team had a tough match against a very strong Hurstpierpoint. Copthorne lost the toss and were asked to field first. The girl’s did their best to stem the flow of rounders that came off the oppositions bat, but could not plug all the gaps in the field as Hurst would just pick another empty spot. When it was our turn to bat, we struggled to make contact as we had not yet faced such fast bowling. The second innings the girls improved on their game, they had a bit more desire and moved quicker to the ball, creating a lot of opportunities both in the field and with the bat. Well done to Victoria Gache for being selected player of the match.
