2nd XI Hockey v Cottesmore – Lost 0-5

The 2nd XI hockey played their only match of the season on a bitterly cold and windy afternoon.  We were not well prepared; the weather has made our pitch unplayable for the last few weeks, and so it was with just a few training  sessions under our belts that the boys went into their first competitive match.  They worked hard and at times played well, but Cottesmore clearly knew their business better, and in spite of a superb performance from our keeper Sam, we found ourselves convincingly defeated.  Milo did a good job alongside Joe in defence, and Neal showed some good skill in midfield; but well played to Cottesmore; they deserved the win.  Our man of the match:  Sam Lloyd.  DJ
