U9A Netball v Lancing – Won 20-0

The U9’s were eager to get playing today, partly because of the cold weather! Rosie captained the side and got the team off to a good start by intercepting the ball and turning the play over to Copthorne’s advantage, which they retained for the whole of this first quarter. Despite the cold all of the U9’s gave one hundred percent in this first quarter which helped get them off to a fantastic start, so fantastic infact, that the U9’s found themselves playing versatility after the first quarter today!

Despite the changes Copthorne continued to dominate most of the play through the remainder of the match and I would like to congratulate all of the U9’s for their performances today, as no matter what position they found themselves in, all of them gave it their all! This is what ‘teamwork’ and ‘adaptability’ is all about! When the whistle blew the final score was 20-0 to Copthorne, a super effort girls!
Well done to all of the U9’s what a fantastic way to end the half term of netball, you were all my players of the match today!
Thank you to all of the parents who braved the cold weather and parking today, and also to Miss Dunn for all her help with the team and her umpiring! It was nice just to be able to coach the girls today!
I hope we can continue this excellent standard of netball and teamwork until the end of the season!
