U10B Netball v Brambletye – Won 8-5

8 Copthorne girls climbed the minibus for a short trip up the road. With a good warm-up, the girls were ready to start. Captain Charlotte soon made her mark on the court, along with Loren and Natalie. We scored first! Then Brambletye did. It was a game of ping-pong watching goals go in at each end. Copthorne needed to step up a gear or two, and to do this it required all girls to up their work rate. With lots of battles going on in the centre court play we soon got what I needed – 2 goal lead. Which soon put the opposition on the back foot. Final quarter saw some outstanding defence work by Georgie Pullen commanding her area, which allowed Eloise to snatch up those loose balls. We could not of won without a good solid team. Nina on target with her shooting and Charlotte’s determination. If you believe in yourself as a winner then the result will speak for itself. A cold afternoon, but great to be proud of all 8 players. Well done girls, you deserved the win! Final score: 8-5 to Copthorne.  MC
