U10B VII Netball v St Christopher’s – Lost 5-12

This was not our best performance as it took the girls a while to get into the match. St Christopher’s strong passing and positional play took us unawares allowing them to score 4 goals to our 1.  The second quarter was better in that Copthorne’s marking and passing was more accurate but that was not enough to prevent the opposition from scoring another four.  After a couple of changes Copthorne entered the second half with renewed vigour. And St Christopher’s were only able to score one goal. Our shooting improved in the final quarter as both Roselly and Victoria managed to score one each.  Although the result was very disappointing it was good to see that as individuals the girls have made good progress. They have become more versatile; being able to take on any position at a drop of a hat. They have become more assertive; not being afraid to  intercept the ball. Most importantly they never give up.  Keep it up girls.  LD
