U11 ‘A’ Hockey v Lingfield Notre Dame

The U11’s final hockey game of the term was away to Lingfield Notre Dame. As always the girls arrived in good spirits and ready to play a good game on the Astro. We started really well and initiated the first attacks but the home side were really well structured and organised in defence. They quickly sent the ball back up the field and then against the run of play they scored a goal. This didn’t stop us as we kept on fighting; continuing with some great passes and were reward with many short corners but once again could not get the ball over the goal line to score. Throughout the game both teams had several attempts on goal but Notre Dame always seemed to have an overload of players as soon as they entered our D resulting in a few more goals. This didn’t spoil team morale as we kept trying to score to show something for our hard work. In the end a very frustrating game as the girls just kept missing.

Well done to Ruby for being voted player of the match.

Team: Emily V, Mallory, Emily W, Beth, Ruby, Tali and Macie.
