U13 Rugby v Cottesmore

The difference in temperature was remarkable and the boys performance matched the weather and were very much on a hot streak! Still missing Josh but despite this the magnificent XII played some excellent rugby. Hard working forwards produced a wealth of ball for the talented and very quick backs. Tries were inevitable and they came at regular intervals throughout the game. Leading 4 to 1 at the break I was delighted to see that we managed to be more precise in our play running in 6 further tries in the second half. Tries from Zac, Bradley, Luke and Dan (7) made this a comfortable win. The opposition were sizeable but with Kieron, the tackle machine, we were more than up to the challenge! The backs were sharp and used a number of pre-planned moves and once Dan was given the space no one could touch him. A great way to finish the first part of the season with 3 straight wins. The boys deserve a good Christmas break ready to produce more of the same next term. Still things to work on especially tackling in some areas. A lovely day all round.

Team: Freddie, Zevon, William, Kieron, Nick H, Bradley, Nick K, Jonathan, Zac (c), Luke, Beau and Dan.
