U9 Netball v Handcross Park – Won 10-0

The girls got off to a slow start and Handcross gave the girls a bit of competition in the first two quarters especially their defence, so at half time Copthorne were in the lead but only by 2 goals.
In the third quarter Copthorne picked their game up and started to settle into their normal play realising that in order to get the ball into the shooters they had to get in front of their players and work the ball around quicker! The shooters Alys, Holly and Hannah worked hard to work the ball in closer to the net and they all scored some great goals! The centre court players Liliana, Charlotte and Emily all worked well together to get the ball up court and the defence consisting of Loren, Karina, Elizabeth and Hannah proved once again that they are extremely strong allowing no shots on goal throughout the entire match!
In the end Copthorne won the match 10-0, nearly 11-0 as Holly scored a fantastic goal but unfortunately the whistle had already gone before the ball had gone through the net so it wasn’t counted-but what a great goal Holly!
Well done today girls a great result once again and thank you to all the supporters that came to support and who continuously do every week! TC
