U9A Netball v Cranleigh – Won 13-0

What another great game for the U9s today! Cranleigh made the girls think in the first two quarters and they played the ball well around the centre court however our defenders Elizabeth, Loren and Karina were as solid as ever and worked hard to keep the ball out of the circle and to gain those valuable interceptions which the girls could then turn over in their favour. The attack although a little hesitate to begin with continuously attacked throughout the match and at times there was some absolute superb netball played down the court and fed into the circle. The shooters also worked hard and there was some fabulous movement, passing and shooting used in the circle today. All of the team were fantastic in the first half and by half time the girls were a much deserved 9-0 up!

In the second half of the match there were some changes made and although some of the girls played out of their normal positions they were very keen and determined to give it a go which certainly paid off! The final result was 13-0 to Copthorne!

The girls once again proved that they are a strong, dedicated team who are improving week by week; let’s keep it up girls and thank you for all your hard work this half term!  Also a huge thank you to all the parents, grandparents etc who have come and supported the girls- let’s hope we can continue to improve and keep up the good netball for the next half of term!
