Under 9’s v Lancing College prep

Once again all the under 9 boys were in action against Lancing Prep.
The B’s,as always, fought hard but, the lack of an out and out striker proved a problem. Without an attacking edge we were always under pressure and although the defence worked hard, especially William who was excellent, we finally conceded what proved to be the deciding goal of a very tight match. 1 – 0 the final score.
The A’s set about Lancing witha real purpose straight from the kick off. Once again simple football produced a number of good chances however only one was converted before half time. In the second half it looked like the floodgates would open as Tom and Matthew took control of midfield. Yonis and the ever improving Robbie looked solid at the back leaving Barlas with mainly a watching brief. Feddie was lively up front and 3 further goals sealed the game. A late consolation goal for Lancing, very much against the run of play left the final score 4 – 1.
Another good result taking the A’s into half term Played 5 Won 2, Lost 2 Drawn 1. Well done boys and unlucky to the B’s.
