Year 7 Rugby v Notre Dame

For the first time in recent history, we played a fixture against Notre Dame, an away rugby match which involved pretty much all the Year 7s in the school.  It was great for all the boys in the year to get a game, and we started very strongly with Elliot, Duncan and Josh (twice)  scoring tries to give us a solid 24 – 10 lead at half time.  What looked like a comfortable game for us turned out to be the total opposite as we spent the entire second half in our own half and kept on giving the ball away or making errors on the few occasions when we got any possession.  Notre Dame scored four unanswered tries to take a deserved win from us and we really did nothing in the second half to suggest that they were not the deserving winners.  When the game got difficult, far too many of our players simply disappeared; if we are to have a decent first fifteen next year then we must make sure this is cut out of our game as soon as possible.
