A big welcome back to Mrs Tregunno who has returned to her class. Although hard to leave baby Firen, Mrs Tregunno is delighted to be back and the transition appears to be seamless. The children are settled, still learning well and full of questions about babies!
Taking full advantage of the sun on Wednesday, the Year 1 children set off for a ‘senses walk’ in the forest. The children were keen to describe a pile of branches and twigs, using creative and interesting adjectives. The wood was filled with the smell of damp wood and greenery. Perhaps the most popular sense was taste, as we all tucked into a pasta lunch after our walk.
They also wrote some interesting holiday news:
I went to Belgium. I ate sugar waffles and all the time I spoke French and I had lots of chocolate and sweets. Macie
I went to see some horse racing at Lingfield race course. I bet on a horse and won a £5 note and a £10 pound note. On Monday we had a jubilee. Polly
