U8 Rounders v Hurst – Won 10-6½

This week the U8s took on Hurst at rounders. Due to the rain early on in the week the game was played on astro. Copthorne were so excited to play!
Hurst won the toss and decided to field first which meant Copthorne were batting. We were playing off 20 good balls so the girls would get 2 bats each. Copthorne got off to a fantastic start scoring a total of 5 rounders, Charlotte Radley scored 2! The girls had set a good target for Hurst to chase. They fielded brilliantly making it hard for Hurst to score, they also got 7 players out! Hurst scored a total of 2½. A fantastic first innings.
The second innings was just as exciting and full rounders were scored by Ella Cavedaschi, Charlotte Radley and Rosie Home. the girls continued to field well and work as a team. The final score was 10 rounders to Copthorne and 6½ to Hurst!
My player of the match was Charlotte Radley who scored a massive 4 rounders and bowled brilliantly.
Well done to all the girls who played and thank you to all the supporters.
