Year 3 Vegetable garden

Thanks to the Fete Committee, the year 3 children have a wonderful flower and vegetable garden in front of the New Block. We  are also grateful to Mr Hall (Nicholas 3KW) for coming to help us fill up the planters and then to build us a natural hazel wigwam for our runner beans and tomatoes. We have also planted carrots (just coming through), lettuce (this looks like cress Mrs Wade), cabbage and cucumbers (feel the frost has got these). We will watch these plants grow over the summer term and hopefully be able to take some of our produce to Karen in the kitchen to cook and later sample. This ties in with our topic this term in Science which is helping plants grow.
