Year 4 Visit Copthorne Junior School

Roman Day
The Year 4s were invited to our local primary school to take part in a Roman activites morning. There were six activities – mosaic making, archaeological dig, army formations, Roman banquet, bread making and Roman numerals. On arrival we were split into 6 teams and we circulated around the different activites. The Year 3 children at Copthorne Juniors were very informative about each of their different events and lots of ‘historical discussion’ took place. Afterwards we were invited to look around their class rooms to look at their individual projects which they had completed at home. A fun morning after our performance was just what was needed. Thank you to Copthorne Juniors for inviting us and we hope to invite them back to join in with us during the summer term.
