Colts C Hockey v Cumnor House – Lost 0-7

Although we won the first pushback it was clear from the onset that Cumnor was the stronger team. Our defence was quickly taken by surprise and despite valiant attempts by our goalie Neve Cumnor scored their first goal in the first few minutes of the match. Copthorne worked hard to clear the ball from the D but our forwards lacked the speed and assertiveness that was needed to drive the ball forward. We made some good passes but too often we were hesitant to tackle. I think it is down to experience and practise; with time the team will get there.

So girls the most important thing is that you keep practising playing the game.

A special mention to Emily and Callie who worked solidly throughout the match. Well done!
