Our mission is to develop confidence, provide opportunity and realise the potential in every child, from the part-time two year old Nursery youngster to the full-time teenage boarder.
We recognise the trust that every parent places in us when they choose Copthorne for their son or daughter and take enormous pride in the levels of pastoral care provided to all our children. A child’s well-being is a priority in any school, but nowhere more so than in a school which offers boarding as an integral part of its make-up.
It is this ethos that pervades everything we do at Copthorne Prep, ensuring that our school is truly a home from home for all the children in our care. ‘House Parents’ in residence, Mr and Mrs Ansboro (parents themselves), live in the boarding house in a self-contained flat with Martyn Ansboro teaching through the day, running clubs in the evening and ensuring the security and comfort of all the boarders at night.
Our website gives you an overview of what it is like at Copthorne Prep, but in truth, there is no substitute for seeing (and trying) it for yourself. We would like to extend an open invitation to all parents to come and visit and, to your children, to try boarding at one of our trial boarding nights.
