Musicians and singers put on a fabulous show last night at this year’s Senior Summer Concert.

The concert opened with a lively performance of Happy by the school orchestra and featured some superb solo performances from our talented pianists, singers, clarinetists, drummers, flautists, violinists, harpists, cellists, trumpet, trombone and cornet players. Highlights of the concert included a great version of Hold Back the River from our year 7 Electroacoustic Band, a lively latin piece and two musical theatre classics played by the school string ensemble, an exciting piano duet of Hall of Fame by Nathan Jeffery and Elliott Meldrum and a super performance from the school guitar ensemble. The concert closed with an accapella version of Stand by me and a moving rendition of ‘Fix You’ by Coldplay from the Senior choir. Special thanks go to Mrs Coppin for playing her euphonium with the school orchestra and Mrs Cole for her help with the strings. We look forward to hearing more from our talented musicians later on in the term.
