Looking back at the Autumn term, the highlight has got to have been our sailing ship challenge. The young historians were challenged to design and build their own sailing ships using anything from plastic bottles to lollipop sticks. They produced an outstanding array of pirate and Viking ships which we raced in the school pool during the last week of term. Pupils had to get in the pool with their boats and provide the wind needed (don’t ask how!) to get their creations to the other side. A lot of fun was had, and no small amount of building skill shown! Amazingly, hardly any boats sank in the tempestuous waters of our fine pool. Thank you to all the kids involved for their enthusiasm and effort! Together we made history!
