A Warm Welcome Back to the Nursery

11th September 2016

A warm welcome back to everyone and a special welcome to all our new children. We have had a lovely week settling into our new classes, making lots of friends and enjoying all the different activities.

Oaks class have been busy studying thcopthorne-prep-school-nursery-paper-plate-flower-collagesemselves in the mirror before painting beautiful self- portraits of themselves to be displayed around the class. They enjoyed their first session in the woods, making mud animals and playing hide and seek and can’t wait to discover what they will be looking at next week. They also had a very successful first swimming lesson, everybody made it in to the pool and was willing to have a go!

Acorns and Pippins have been busy forming new friendships and have been collaging their own paper plates to make their own flower for the class learning wall. They have been looking at different colours and have sponge painted shapes over their topic folders.

They also enjoyed their first session outside, we looked at different forest animals; where they live and what they eat. We then collected acorns and made a lovely pattern with green and brown leaves. We finished off our session with a game of hide and seek with Sammy the Squirrel and a big group tree hug.
