We are all back into the swing of things at Copthorne, with Christmas and the New Year a distant memory. Year 7 & 8 exams are on the horizon, as is their wonderful trip to Nice later this term. More Year 6 & 7 children have been sitting ISEB Pre-tests this week and good luck to all those sitting entry tests at Lingfield tomorrow! There has been a bit of a science theme going on this week, with a select group of Copthorne Year 6 children representing the school very well at the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Day at Ardingly College. They had to design and build a solar power car – see report later in the newsletter. Many children thoroughly enjoyed the Astro Disco this afternoon, (thanks to DJ Heas and sound engineer MB) and I hope that parents are still purchasing their tickets (via our website) for the Astro Ball on Saturday, 9 February as this promises to be super event.
