Acorns class have been making paper plate mice and learning all about the numbers on a clock while singing ‘hickory dickory dock’. We have been making the most of the beautiful weather playing in our garden and we were very excited by the arrival of new sand! We also planted our own bean stalks and are looking forward to watering them and watching them grow!
Oaks have been learning about the many years it takes to study to become a doctor. A visit from Oliver A’s mummy was exciting and informative. She told us what kind of doctor she was (GP) and how she helped to make people feel better. The children also learnt how important it is to eat healthily and how exercise helps to keep us fit as well as being enjoyable!
The children have also celebrated St. David’s Day by making some pretty daffodils and cooking ‘Welsh Cakes’ over the fire during Forest Schools.
Next week, Oaks welcome the Firefighters and a Fire-engine to the nursery on Tuesday at 11am. If your child is not in on a Tuesday, you are welcome to bring them in at 10.50am and collect again at 11.40am.
