The younger nursery children have been continuing with their zoo/wild animals theme: glittery elephants are sparkling around the classroom and the zebras have lovely stripes painted with rollers. They have also been on a safari hunt in the woods where the children used their magnifying glasses to look for tracks of wild animals and searched for some giggling gorillas & roaring lions!
The older nursery children have learnt the sounds u, b, f, and e. We stood in blue paint wearing blue boots and the children had to sort a huge pile of wellie boots into pairs. We pressed some pretty flowers and made some lovely bookmarks with them and also made some yummy eggy bread. We also had particularly good fun pouring water over the children whilst they were holding an umbrella! Our little caterpillars are not so little and we think they will be spinning their cocoons very soon; please do come and have a look at them if you get a chance.
