Pippins children have been over the rainbow this week! We made some very beautiful fluffy clouds with rainbow stripes and then we read the story of the rainbow fish. We all enjoyed decorating our own little fish with lots of coloured scales and we talked about sharing. On Friday we celebrated Children in Need by making some rainbow cupcakes!
Acorns class have been exploring their senses this week. They have created their own textured paint by adding salt, rice and soap flakes, played with scented playdough and made rainbow cakes to taste. Using sticks as paintbrushes and making leaf crowns at Forest School was a highlight!
Oaks class have been talking about autumn and looking at the different colours of leaves at this time of year. They have been using their fingers to make colourful autumn pictures to go into their Special Books and have created some beautiful tissue paper leaves to go onto the windows.
Nativity rehearsals are in full swing: the children have been singing the songs every day in the classroom – and probably at home as well! The week ended with some Pudsey Bear cakes decorated for Children in Need.
