The Nursery children have been enjoying lots of exciting role play games both inside and outside the classroom, trips to the seaside, London and petrol stations to name a few! We have also been busy warming up our voices and practising our singing for our end of term concert. The Younger Nursery children have carried on with their summer theme and the seaside role play games by making our own sea bottles. We filled up empty bottles with water, added glitter and seaside shells, stars and fish beads. When shaken they made beautiful sea globes. We have also created our own craft ice cream cones – using cotton wool and paint for the ice cream and stamps for the cones.

The Older Nursery have been busy making their lovely topic folders to take all their beautiful work home in and have been finishing up their RWI topic, recapping all the sounds they have learnt over the term. We wonder how many will be remembered over the summer?! The children had a lot of fun in their last swimming lesson this week, lots of splashing and free play. Mrs Lumley and Miss Heasman are very proud of all the children; they have made such good progress, their confidence in the water is amazing and every child was able to put their head under the water!
