In Pippins this week we had great fun making some very special owls, using lovely orange pumpkins, sparkly eyes and feathers! The children all thought of names for their owls and couldn’t wait to take them home …

Acorns class have been measuring their feet and counting how many squares long they are! We have also been exploring bones and looking at skeletons. We also had great fun exploring the woods: learning the importance of holding hands, following instructions, climbing on fallen trees and exploring tree trunks    and stumps!

In the final week of their ‘homes’ theme, Oaks have been having fun being the Three Little Pigs! The outside home corner has been transformed into the three houses; straw, sticks and bricks with a wolf at the side who looks fairly friendly but has a lot of ‘puff’! The tuff spot tray has small bricks, sticks and lots of straw for the children to build their own houses and the children have been huffing and puffing to blow paint around on paper to make a picture. Large leaves have been used to make a picture of the wolf and the last Forest School of this half term was lots of fun acting out the story.
