Nursery News – Summer Term 2017 – Week 4

14th May 2017

Pippins class made some brightly coloured stained glass windows this week and are enjoying watching the colours shine on the window. We also made some lovely butterfly pictures where we folded the paper and patted it to make it the same each side.
The class photo was an interesting experience for the two year olds …! However the photographers are optimistic about the result … we’ll wait and see!

Acorns class have been busy singing ‘5 little men in a flying saucer’ and have created their own bright coloured moving aliens. They have been practising their cutting and matching skills by matching different aliens and have enjoyed the sunny weather, discovering sensory play with blue jelly in the tough spot!

Oaks class had a wonderful time at Ladyland Farm, where they helped feed all the animals including goats, chickens and calves. The highlight of course was the very bumpy tractor ride! We have been continuing learning new sounds and the children are starting to blend some sounds together to make simple CVC words. Please continue to support their learning at home by playing sound games such as ‘I spy’.
