Nursery News – Summer Term 2017 – Week 5

19th May 2017

This week the children in Pippins have had fun with sensory play. We made patterns in the Tuff Spot filled with shaving foam but soon discovered that it gets everywhere! We had fun potato printing to make pretty bird pictures and we used forks dipped in paint to make flowers!
Acorns Copthorne Prep School - Nursery - EYFS Duathlon 1 - Summer 2017have been learning about space travel; paper plates have turned into UFOs with little aliens (pompoms, wiggly eyes & pipe cleaners) sitting inside! We have made a lovely shiny space rocket for display. Our role play games have involved driving our own space rockets to the moon and choosing what food we would like to take on a picnic, using the story ‘Whatever Next’ to help with our planning!

Oaks had a great time at their Duathlon, scooting and running. They have been learning ‘2 letters, 1 sound’ in their Read Write Inc. (ch, th, sh) and have painted some lovely bright sheep.
