Nursery News – Summer Term 2017 – Week 8

17th June 2017

This week in Pippins and Acorns classes we have been busy making presents for our Daddies! We painted some stones to make paperweights to stop all the bills from flying away and made some lovely handprint cards. The children have been making the most of the lovely weather and have spent a lot of time outside playing in the sand and water and hiding in the willow tree.

Oaks class has had a very busy week making some beautiful Father’s Day cards and of course the highlight of the week was Moving Up day! All the children spent the morning in their new classes with their new Reception teachers then had lunch for the first time in the dining hall. They all enjoyed the morning and came back to Nursery in the afternoon disappointed that they couldn’t stay longer in Reception!
Our caterpillars are growing fast and are now attaching themselves to the lid of the jar ready to make their chrysalises. We have to wait another 7-14 days until the magical butterfly transformation will take place!

A lovely al fresco occasion for Mrs Swadling at her regular Thursday lunch time with well-mannered Oaks children!
