Acorns and Pippins have been busy exploring the colour blue this week. Pippins have collaged some lovely blue whales and have had fun experimenting with blue paint. Acorns have made some lovely blue stained glass windows which are being displayed in the nursery and have been learning about the different shades of blue. Using blue and white powder paint, they made dark and light blue, then painted some different sized squares with their own shades. We also had another great session in the woods: on our colour hunt we found different coloured ribbons around the woods, which led to us finding an exciting den or a “wild tent” as Sienna named it. We also created our own train using logs to ride around the woods.
Oaks class have been busy exploring the school and visiting lots of different places, they popped in to say hello to the ladies in the office and then in to Mr Jones’ office, where they were rewarded with a sticker and were allowed to sit on his sofa! They also visited the kitchens and were so inspired they all made their own chefs hats when they returned to the nursery. The Nursery is also looking very spick and span thanks to some cleaning fun! They had a magical time in the woods this week, listening to and looking for fairies, making their own magic potions and beautiful magic wands!
