The fire engine came to visit!

20th October 2017

This week in Pippins class the children have been learning the colour pink. We had fun dipping string in different shades of pink paint and decorating hearts. We made heart shapes using hand prints and we also made some yummy pink pig biscuits using marshmallows and chocolate buttons.

This week Acorns class have been singing Baa Baa Black Sheep and we have glued wool and black paint to create fun sheep. We have been using our imaginations whilst playing with the farmyard in the Tuff Spot. We also enjoyed learning how to take turns by playing some small group games.

Oaks class welcomed a visit from the East Grinstead fire service and were so excited to be able to climb aboard the fire-engine as well as trying on some of the uniform. The children learnt that the fire engine carries all sorts of different equipment including a giant fan to keep the firefighters cool after being in hot temperatures. The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about People Who Help Us and all the different occupations. Thank you to all our visitors who have inspired our future Police Officers, Vets, Doctors and Firefighters!
