The sun has shone inside the classroom as much as outside! We have made lovely yellow suns with lots of different yellow materials and painted our hands to print the sun’s rays. We have also had fun searching for insects in jelly!
This week Acorns class have been talking about bedtime …. making little puppet people and beds for them to sleep in, collaging beautiful glittery stars to make into hanging mobiles and reading our favourite bedtime stories whilst having a teddy bear picnic. We hope the children have slept well too!
Oaks class have been learning about animal homes. Straw for birds’ nests has been scattered merrily around the outdoor classroom, and a game matching the animals to their correct home was very popular. In the sports hall, the children moved around in different ‘animal’ ways: wriggling like worms, stomping like elephants and hopping like rabbits! At Francis Court the children helped to decorate pictures of cakes for the residents’ cake sale and also carefully coloured in pictures to enter into Copthorne Church’s Flower and Produce show this weekend.
