FEDERICA WILLIAMSON

Our star swimmer has enjoyed a very successful half term, winning the English Schools National Championships in the 100m Breaststroke event and recording the fastest time of the year by a 12 year old in the country. She will be swimming for England in the “Home Internationals” against Scotland, Ireland and Wales next term. At the recent Crawley Club Championships, she broke every club record in the 100m Backstroke, 100m Butterfly, 50m Freestyle and the 100m Breaststroke. Her time in this last event was the ‘2nd’ fastest time ever recorded by a 12 year old British Swimmer, and was short of breaking the British record by 1 hundredth of a second. The current record at 1.13.43 was set in 1999 by Kate Haywood the current British Olympic swimmer – so she has 2 months to beat this before her 13th birthday! Go Fed & good luck!!
