As part of the Caterham Family of Schools, pupils in Year 5 benefit from early offers to Caterham School. The Early Offer pathway at Copthorne Prep strengthen and smooth the transition for pupils who would thrive at Caterham School. This removes the hurdle of the 11+ entry exam, with offers awarded in the Summer Term of Year 5. These offers are based on our close understanding of each child’s strengths and potential as members of the Caterham Family of Schools. This pathway gives families the certainty of knowing their child’s secondary school destination by the end of Year 5. It also allows children to fully engage in the outstanding education at Copthorne Prep during Year 6. 
As part of the Early Offer pathway, families will be invited to register for scholarship applications. Scholarship decisions will be based on both assessments at Caterham School and insights from Copthorne Prep. Assessments for scholarships will take place at Caterham School in the summer term of Year 5 and are available for Academic, Art, Chess, Choral, Dance, Drama, Music, Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and Sport. This year we are proud that 6 offers and 5 scholarships were awarded for September entry to Caterham.
