Butterflies

8th May 2016

We have been “flying” through our work this week as all good little minibeasts do! Writing number sentences for addition has been our target in maths with some fabulous activities adding spots on lady bugs and legs on caterpillars. We wrote well about our long weekend focusing on getting our letters on the line and making sure we leave spaces between words.

We are watching our tadpoles closely as they grow and waiting for any sign of legs – none yet but we will keep you posted! We also talked about using our hands to be gentle with our friends and with mini-beasts we may find. We passed a little bell round the class trying not to make it ring as we practised using gentle hands!

Look out for the beautiful butterflies we made in art this week. They are stunning and we had lots of fun making them!

Well done to those parents who have made a special effort to write in the blue reading diaries.

Your feedback is wonderful so thank you so much!

As the weather gets warmer feel free to bring in a named bottle of sunscreen for your child to keep at school. They can apply it as they need it on hot days. Also please make sure they bring in a named sun hat to keep at school… Mrs Kinnear has plenty in the school shop.

Virtual Open Day

Another Virtual Open Day!

Our next Virtual Open Day will take place on Saturday 3 October where we will share a link to an exclusive Open Morning page. The page will contain more information about our school and videos showing ‘A day in the Nursery/Pre-Prep/Prep School’.

Should you wish to speak to the Headmaster & Head of Pre-Prep in person, you are also invited for a 1:1 (socially distanced) chat at your convenience.

To book an appointment, or to register your place for the Virtual Open Day, please email our Registrar, Kathryn Billingham-West on headspa@copthorneprep.co.uk.
