Captain Tim Peake & the International Space Station

5th February 2016

Hopefully further interest in this exciting adventure has been sparked by a whole Department ‘listen in’ to Chris Evans talking on Radio 2 to Tim Peake on Thursday morning. We learnt that space smells a bit rusty and metallic; that Tim drinks his daily cup of coffee using a straw coming out of a foil container; that weightlessness is brilliant fun and that Tim is going to run the London Marathon watching his iPad, weighted down to the Space Station treadmill (in aid of The Prince’s Trust)!

If any children want to do some investigations of their own into this exciting event, we’d love to hear and see the results!

Should you wish to speak to the Headmaster & Head of Pre-Prep in person, you are also invited for a 1:1 (socially distanced) chat at your convenience.

To book an appointment, or to register your place for the Virtual Open Day, please email our Registrar, Kathryn Billingham-West on
