Fantastic work over half term

14th November 2017

Welcome back to all Reception children after, from what we hear, were lovely half-term holidays! The children are all full of enthusiasm and seem to be very happy to be back at school. It’s a pleasure to see there has been some hard work done over the holiday with many children beginning to blend their sounds into words; we will be finishing the last of our sounds over the next few weeks.

In Maths we have embarked on a journey of comparison, looking at length and size. We are using vocabulary like wider, longest and shortest. We are finding objects which will be the biggest and smallest and comparing it to ourselves.

We’ve learned the meaning of Remembrance Day and made our own poppies. We will continue learning about Autumn next week.

Please can we remind parents to ensure children have their named black coat in school. All hats, gloves and scarves need to be clearly named as well.

Virtual Open Day

Another Virtual Open Day!

Our next Virtual Open Day will take place on Saturday 3 October where we will share a link to an exclusive Open Morning page. The page will contain more information about our school and videos showing ‘A day in the Nursery/Pre-Prep/Prep School’.

Should you wish to speak to the Headmaster & Head of Pre-Prep in person, you are also invited for a 1:1 (socially distanced) chat at your convenience.

To book an appointment, or to register your place for the Virtual Open Day, please email our Registrar, Kathryn Billingham-West on
