iSpace – What is it all about?

21st September 2018

I am absolutely delighted to announce that this year as part of our ‘Year of Wellbeing’ we have introduced a wellbeing programme called ‘iSpace’ from Reception to Year 6. The programme allows pupils to make sense of their feelings and emotions in a safe and nurturing environment.

iSpace offers a child friendly approach to mental health and wellbeing by using characters and stories, teaching children how to ‘be calm and deal with their niggles and stressors’.

iSpace was designed to ensure that every child has access to mental health and wellbeing education and takes a proactive, not reactive, approach to prepare and teach children how to tackle any issues they may face. The curriculum and toolkit gives them a language and the ‘who and how’ to ask for help, not only does it help the children but their parents too. Ask your child to demonstrate iSpace to you!

We are very excited to announce that the pioneer of this programme will be coming to talk to all parents on Thursday 11 October at 7.00pm – invitations will be sent out next week.
