Reception

Reception continued learning about jungle animals. This week we learned all about animals that slither and slide in the jungle. We read the “The Selfish Crocodile” and learned all about being kind to each other as well as making sure we look after our teeth. The children had the opportunity in class this week to clean their own crocodile teeth using a real tooth brush and tooth paste. There were lots of scrubbing and discussion but all the “croccies” have sparkling teeth again! We’ve also continued learning new sounds and had a wonderful end to Forest School after our bug hunt by enjoying a Kit-Kat to celebrate the letter “k”. In Art we have been mixing colours and making our own jungle birds and put our IT mouse skills to the test by drawing our own jungle animals on the computer. In Maths we have been focussing on numbers 1 and 2 and have been exploring circles, pairs, odd ones out and counting on and backwards.
