Reception News – Spring Term 2017 – Week 8

10th March 2017

This week has been another busy week in Reception. We have done some lovely writing about our World Book Day characters. We’ve all moved around in RWI and have been hard at work already!

In Maths we have been very busy learning about money. We’ve worked really hard to recognise the coins and had great fun creating our own Tesco shop in Mrs Jenkins’ room. We’ve labelled all the items with their own price tags and can’t wait to play in the shop. Our weekend challenge is to help our mummies and daddies select the right coins to pay for things.

We’ve also been really busy in Art with Mother’s Day in sight and have started our making our special treat for our mummies. We’ve all had to be very patient as this project took a lot of determination and fine motor skills. You will have to wait until our Mother’s Day Service to see our final product .

Next week will be another busy week. Please remember that all Reception will need to be dressed in PE kit and have their boots in school on Tuesday for our trip to Bocketts Farm.

Virtual Open Day

Another Virtual Open Day!

Our next Virtual Open Day will take place on Saturday 3 October where we will share a link to an exclusive Open Morning page. The page will contain more information about our school and videos showing ‘A day in the Nursery/Pre-Prep/Prep School’.

Should you wish to speak to the Headmaster & Head of Pre-Prep in person, you are also invited for a 1:1 (socially distanced) chat at your convenience.

To book an appointment, or to register your place for the Virtual Open Day, please email our Registrar, Kathryn Billingham-West on
